chale gaye aap yun...

Door the hum,
Paas kuch aap bhi na the!
Faasle the,
Par baatein thi kayi-

Ankahi kehte gaye hum,
Aur sunte gaye aap!

Najaane kyun,
Laga yun, akele hue kya hum?

Nazar utha k dekha,
Veeran tha jharokha humara-
chale gaye aap yun,
Aahat bhi na hui.

Do pairon ki chhaap thi us raste par,
Jahan se guzarte dil bhar aata hai,
Aankh se beh jaata hai!

Sochte hain,
Ki keh diya hota-
usi waqt,
jab

Ankahi kehte gaye hum,
aur sunte gaye aap!

Ki ankahi kab ansuni ho gayi-
maaloom na pada!

Veeran tha jharokha humara,
chale gaye aap yun,
aahat bhi na hui!

lost treasures

"time flies!" - they say.
"time is the biggest healer!" -they say.
"no one can escape from the clutches of time!" -who else, but they say!

who are "they"?
nobody knows!
yet we believe "them"; and lets dedicate this post to their saying: "time flies!"

this age old thought about time flying away, as having the quick flight of a bird: the image of running water as a parallel to time, is true indeed!
time does pass, very quickly!
but leaves behind a lot of marks, that control your face muscles: either in a smile or a frown.
though it depends on a person's will and thought process as well, whether she is of the kind who will take every suffering in her stride: and just move on with a brave heart, taking life's challenges head-on:
or she is of the kind, who will move on, yet with a heavy heart and a sad outlook towards life.

but then, with so many people around, we cant classify a human outlook in to just two categories: everybody has a different thought process, everybody has a different outlook!
it just depends, well, on person to person!

past, present and future, the three broad classifications of time;

"then, now and shall be"...

"what has passed, will never come back" -they say.
"present is all you have!" -they say.
"past is history, future is mystery: present is all you have!" -they say.

they say quite a lot!

they put it correctly, whatever has passed will never return, we do not know, what future holds for us: all we have in hand is "the moment".
the present is all what we have in hand. "the time is now."
but, with all this "present" talk, does the past really lose its meaning, like a person whose long gone or a treasure long lost?
does future really hold no importance, and can be passed off as something from the dark- unseen and unknown?

crystal balls, and tarot cards sure can't be trusted: but they sure do fascinate!

even after all the contemplation and long thoughts and retrospective moments on the relevance of past, present or future, all what i can conclude is: whatever we have is just: the moment, now! everything else is futile!

though, when you stop, to look back, or try to unwind after a busy day: and those thoughts, memories and regrets prick again, you can't help but shedding a tear, or smiling or hiding your face in your hands, due to a million thoughts that run past, a million probabilities that give rise to the uncertainties inside you!

but, its just a moment and it passes!
and the next morning you wake up, look at the bright morning and a bright new day that calls out on you: "wake up! and get going, all you have is this morning, this day, a few moments in hand to seize what you can, celebrate what you have, and cherish what was, though it could not be!"

and with a sigh, you walk towards the kitchen:
"din ki shuruat ek cup adrak vaali chai k sath honi chaihye na!"
